The Black Magic 20 stereo amplifier is the perfect blend of form and function and the ideal choice for serious music listeners. It is conservatively rated at 20 watts per channel in stereo mode and 40 watts in monoblock mode. When we started designing our own CD player, we wanted something which would be a pleasure to use, which would offer exceptional sound quality, and would avoid the usual harsh digital sound of many CD players available today. The CD M-10 uses a high quality front loading Sony mechanism, a Burr Brown PCM1792 DAC, a 192 kHz 24 bit oversampling DAC with 8 X oversampling digital filter and a hybrid analogue output stage using a 5AR4 valve and a pair of 6SN7 valves. The back panel holds both coaxial and optical digital outputs, whilst both single ended RCA analogue and XLR balanced outputs are supported on very high quality connectors, whilst an IEC power inlet is located on the far right of the back panel to allow the use of any aftermarket power cable. The player uses a very high quality, aluminium chassis, which is heavily damped to prevent vibrations breaking through to the transport or analogue audio circuit to prevent microphony. Very high quality passive components are used including Mundorf Silver Gold capacitors, ultra high precision clocks, whilst WBT connectors are used on the back panel. This player offers truly extraordinary sound quality and build quality for the price.

The Melody SP3 is the entry level integrated amplifier from Melody designed with absolute sonic purity at it's heart. The Melody SP3 produces 38W/ch from it's four 5881 (military variants of the 6L6GC) valves, two per channel, and offers two, single ended stereo inputs. Despite it's low price, we have made no compromises with the aesthetics or build quality, the casework is manufactured from aluminium with a brushed finish, the dominant feature on the front channel is the oversize volume control which has a silky operation making this amplifier a joy to use as well as to listen to. There are only two other buttons on the front panel, a power on / off and input select, giving this amplifier a contemporary simplicity both operationally and aesthetically. The top plate of the SP3 is dominated by the three large boxes and six aluminium tubes, the six tubes cover a pair of 12AX7, 6922 and 12AU7 whilst the large mid mounted cage covers the four 5881 output tubes. All of these covers are removeable should you wish to see the tubes during operation. The large covers at the rear hide the oversized output transformers whilst the back panel offers three, five way binding posts per channel with 4 and 8 ohm taps and a single pair of inputs each side. Internally the volume control uses switched pairs of resistors, keeping the minimum number of components in the signal path at all times. Melody SP3 internal component choices have been made to maximise both longevity and sound quality, and this amplifier offers stunning build and sound quality at an incredibly low price.
